The Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) is excited to announce the upcoming VBIT Conference 2024, themed “Transcending Boundaries: Advancing Takaful for Sustainable Growth.” This event is a key part of our Strategic Thrusts 5 Working Groups’ initiative under the Takaful FSB programme, dedicated to advancing and promoting the Takaful industry on a global scale.

Our goal is to deepen the discussion on how Value-Based Intermediation for Takaful (VBIT) can drive sustainable and innovative practices in Takaful, while strengthening collaborations across Islamic countries, with a special focus on our neighbouring East Asian nations. We will be welcoming industry leaders from Malaysia, Islamic countries, and Southeast Asia, making this a valuable opportunity to engage with a diverse and influential audience. The conference will also explore the implementation, development, and impact of VBIT within the Takaful sector.

A distinguished line-up of discussion panellists for the Plenary Sessions and Fireside Chat, including representatives from Bank Negara Malaysia, AIBIM, the Shariah Advisory Council, the Securities Commission, ISRA, and our Takaful leaders, will share their insights. MTA anticipates a substantial turnout of industry leaders, both domestically and internationally, together with relevant authorities, associations and related organizations will be attending these conferences as participants.
